Discovering Thailand the land of smiles

Nowhere in the world exemplifies the term “chilled out” more than Thailand does. The people are warm and friendly which made traveling to Bangkok, Thailand last year an amazing fun filled adventure one I will never forget, and it wasn’t overly expensive. So, if you haven’t already, add Thailand to your “Bucket list” of places to live your best life, that’s why right now I can hardly wait to tell you about all the amazing things you can see, smell, taste and touch in this fun filled land.

S̄wạs̄dī! means hello in one of the four primary dialects of Thai that are geographical in nature corresponding to the southern, northern (“Yuan”), northeastern (close to Lao language), and central regions of the country; the latter is called Central Thai or Bangkok Thai and is taught in all schools, and used for most television broadcasts, and is widely understood in all regions. But have no fear, I had no problem communicating with the smiling people of Thailand during my stay since nowadays, English is also taught in all public schools. Interestingly, there are four different “languages” used by Thais in different social circumstances.  In other words certain expressions are used exclusively by the Thai royalty which can be defined as a kind of royal language. There are languages used for religious figures, as well as  polite everyday interactions, and gruff or crude communications.  Thai languages are derived from a combination of Pali, Sanskrit, Mon, and Khmer,  the written Thai Language was introduced by the third Sukhothai period king, Ramkhamhaeng, in 1283.

Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya or just Ayutthaya if you prefer the shorter more familiar name is a province approximately 1h 55min from the bustling city of Bangkok Thailand.

Pattaya Floating market had a lot to offer tourist. There was Clothing, food, crafts, and last but not least Tiger balm for those who could use a good massage later in the day.
